Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium is additional funding provided by the government to help schools reduce educational disadvantage and ensure that all children have the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
Schools currently receive £1,480 per eligible child in Reception to Year 6. Children may be eligible if they have been entitled to Free School Meals at any point in the last six years (Ever 6), are looked after by the local authority, or have been previously looked after through adoption, special guardianship or child arrangements orders.
At Leslie Manser Primary School, we use Pupil Premium funding to support the whole child. Our intention is to remove barriers to learning by strengthening high-quality teaching, providing targeted academic support where needed, and offering wider support that promotes good attendance, positive wellbeing, and high aspirations. We aim to ensure that disadvantaged children achieve well, feel confident and valued, and are fully prepared for the next stage of their education.
Further detail about how this funding is planned, implemented and reviewed can be found in our Pupil Premium Strategy below.
